Holland America Line commissioned IPA to prepare concept designs for its Signature of Excellence refit programme for 5 ships all with similar general arrangements. Concept designs were prepared for bars, the main show lounge and a new deck to be added to the stern which accommodated a pool, bar and open air cinema to be branded as ‘The Retreat’. Selected concepts were subsequently customised and implemented on all 5 ships.
